The Crazy Monkeys have all new people for you to laugh at... Or with... You'll see them soon enough, that's for sure. Any way, say hi to Dennis, Matt, and Michelle. You know, if you meet someone named like those three, say hi to them, too. [Link]

Help the Helpless

We'd love it if you came out to see the Crazy Monkeys this Friday, January 22nd. Watch as the Crazy Monkeys crack your shit up, while at the same time kicking the collective asses of hunger, thirst, flooding, and homelessness for the sake of the Haitian people. We'll be at the Greyhouse coffee shop saying "Hey! Look at us be great!" while other people are sitting around in their apartments saying "Hay! Luk at uz b drink@"<⁄p [Link]

New members page!

Haldo, everybody.

You should swing by the Crazy Monkeys' website and see our updated members page! No, the bios and most of the pictures are old, but the old fogies who graduated aren't there anymore (unless you look really hard).

Pre-order a t-shirt now!

Who wants a t-shirt?!

That's right. The Crazy Monkeys are going to enter the lucrative (or is that ludicrous) arena of merchandising, with this super-sexy t-shaped shirt!

Quantities are extremely limited, so pre-order yours while the pre-orderin's good! We'll sell them to YOU for $12 each (that's only $2 more than we're paying). Hurry and place your order while quantities last.

The shirts will be available at the Monkeys' last show of the year, on May 1st, in Matthews Hall, room 210 at 8:00 PM. You can pre-order a shirt now for the low, low price of $12, and pick it up at the show. We'll be selling them at the show for $15 to anybody who didn't pre-order, so you'll be saving yourself three whole dollar-bucks! Send an email to email@thecrazymonkeys.com and let us know how many of which sizes you want, along with your name and a secret password so we know who you are when you come to pick it up (ok, so we don't really need a password, but it will make it more fun, right?!)

As one more incentive to place your orders now, the first pre-order will get a free shirt signed by all of the '08-'09 Crazy Monkeys! How's that for ORDER NOW? We'll let you know you won at the show on May 1st in Matthews Hall room 210 at 8:00 PM.

P.S.: Even if you're not interested in shirts, you should still come to the last Monkey show of the year (and Shauvon, Tim, and Mike's last show ever) on May 1st, in Matthews Hall room 210 at 8:00 PM.

Just kidding
Yeah, April Fool's . . .Everybody come to our super sweet comedy triforce this Friday! Three styles of comedy in one glorious night! [Link]
Goodbye.

Dear Fans,

The Crazy Monnkeys have been around for like 16 years. In that time, we've tried to entertain Purdue students, and whomever else wants us around. Though the people have changed (a lot), the methods and practices have remained the same. The Crazy Monkeys have always operated with the same style.

However, times have changed. In order for any good comedy group to operate, they need to be able to operate as individuals, and get along as friends. That no longer holds true for the Crazy Monkeys. Arguments, dissent, insubordination, and general apathy have plagued the group for several months. We feel that nobody cares, and that we're singing to an empty house. We can't agree on basic policies anymore, and we aren't funny.

To put it bluntly, we just don't feel it anymore.

That's why I, Shauvon McGill, commissioned the two music tracks which were recently made available (they can still be downloaded here). It was meant to commemorate "the good days" when the Monkeys still stood for something right. I wanted something to say goodbye to the laughs, and the good times we had, and I wanted to share it with you. After all, you were all there with us.

All good things must end, and if the Crazy Monkeys were ever "good," then it is now our time to end. Thank you all for the great memories, and for being with us through those good times.

Rock on, everybody.

Sincerely,
Shauvon McGill

New Videos! New Rodblast!

Shauvon McGill, notoriously lazy douchebag, has finally started digging through the piles of Monkey footage sitting on his desk. That means you can see brand new, ever before seen footage of The Crazy Monkeys in action! Watch some archival footage from all the way back in the beginning of the year 2008, back when old Andy Briston was still alive!

Also, while you're at it, why not waste 35 minutes of your life listening to the brand new rodblast recorded while Shauvon, John, Eli, and some other dude were hanging out on Friday night! We promise we weren't on any sort of foreign substance when we recorded it.

Improv Comedy for Habitat for Humanity

Hey everybody. This is Shauvon McGill talking, the informal leader of the Crazy Monkeys improv comedy group at Purdue. So, last year we did this show with Ship of Fools, the other improv group on campus, and we raised about $500 for Habitat for Humanity and the Timmy Foundation. We figured that was pretty successful, so we're going to do it again this year. We couldn't get a hold of anybody at the Timmy Foundation, so this year is just for Habitat for Humanity.

Here's the thing, though. I think we can definitely break last year's record of $500. I'll even sweeten the deal a little. If we can make over $600 this year, I will personally do something. What, exactly? Well, that's up to you. Streak across campus? Sing the national anthem in the middle of Class of 50? Kiss President Cordova on the mouth? You name it, and as long as I am not completely repulsed by the idea and it's not going to get me arrested, I'll do it. Well, I'll do it as long as we make more than $600 for Habitat for Humanity.

Matthews hall room 210 seats (according to Purdue) 220 people. If we can get 200 there (which I think we had last year), all you have to do is bring $3 each, and we'll have $600. That's it! THREE DOLLARS EACH. That's less than a cup of mocha at Starbucks.

Anyway, please come to the show, and please open your hearts for this very important charity. It's Thanksgiving season, after all. Give a family somewhere something to be thankful for.

And if you come up with any good ideas for something for me to do, post them on the facebook event's wall, or email us at email@thecrazymonkeys.com!

Thanks, and have a wonderful week.

-Shauvon

ESR2 #1 (by Shauvon)

Tim Manship has graduated. Unfortunatly, he has taken his comic strip, Eat, Sleep, Rinse, Repeat with him. John and Shauvon were particularly saddened by this loss, and so they decided to pay tribute to him by continuing his comic strip. Ladies and gentlemen, I give you the first strip of the brand new comic, ESR2.

Follow the link to see a larger version.

Lookit the Tiny Monkey, good friend of the Crazy Monkeys, has been living in town for a couple months, and I decided to help him set up a blog today. Restructure
A message from the Crazy Monkeys webmaster:

Hey everybody. Thanks for finding the RSS feed again. I've rearranged the site file structure, and in order to make things more organized and manageable, I had to move the RSS feed to another folder. I'm terribly sorry if this change caused anybody to lose the feed (not that I think anybody has really looked at it, anyway). If you're reading this now, it means you've managed to find it again after all (or you're on the news page, which hasn't changed at all). Good work, and thanks for staying with us. I have big plans for the site, as always, and I hope you stay tuned for all of the exciting changes that will happen over the next few months. If you haven't yet, check out the new and improved Archive page (I can't plug that enough). It's got a lot of cool stuff in it.

I hope everyone is doing great, and I hope I see you all at the show on Friday. To make up for moving the RSS feed and totally wrecking your daily routine (I'm sure), I'll put up an awesome comic I found (just follow this article's link). I hope you enjoy it as much as I did.

Sincerely,
Shauvon McGill

Exctiting and hilarious auditions
Here's a great big thanks to all the hilarious folks (guys) who tried out tonight for the Monkeys. You still have a chance! You can come by Lilly Hall on Sunday at 1:00 PM and get another chance to show us what you're made of. We all hope to see you there, although we've seen so much talent already, it's not going to be easy to pick this year's new additions. [Link]
