Prepare yourselves for a charity blowout of epic proportions. The Crazy Monkeys will be teaming up with The Ship of Fools, another local improv comedy team (see the links page). The two groups will sacrifice themselves for the greater good (the greater good), throwing down two hours of hilarious comedy. It's all for a good cause, as several charities will be around to collect donations and spread awareness. You will not be disappointed by this show, folks, so be sure to bring open hearts and open wallets to help out some good causes!

Big Dog Eat Child (see the links page), the wonderful sketch comedy group from Chicago has been invited down to do a show with the monkeys. Unfortunately, they were not able to make it down for a show on November 3rd, but they will be here on December 1st! Bring your laughing caps, because you'll surely have a good time at the final show of the semester. Big Dog Eat Child will wow us with some great sketch comedy, and The Crazy Monkeys will plow us with some great improv!

We're all back at school, and we're all getting into the swing of the new semester. That means we're all going to be caught by the dreaded "routine monster." What's the best way to beat the routine? The Crazy Monkeys are deciding to do something different this Friday. Instead of their usual bunch of short, hilarious games, they're doing one long, hilarious series of scenes. It's called "longform" and it's like a play, except the Monkeys totally make it up as they go. Watch characters interact and eventually solve their problems, just like a one act play or one of those hour-long dramas everybody's so fond of these days.

It's the first show of the year! It's also, as it happens, the first show for newbies Kelsey, Matt, Eli, and Lauren! What excitement. What hilarity. What ever.

You might not be aware, but there are THREE PILLARS OF COMEDY. They are Shortform Improv, Longform improv, and Sketch! Now, for one night only, you can study up on ALL THREE. University tWits, a Sketch comedy group from Bloomington is coming up to join in with the Crazy Monkeys and Ship of Fools to do three shows demonstrating ALL THREE PILLARS OF COMEDY.

It could be your only chance ever to see all three live comedy styles one after another after another, so come out to Hot Box Pizza at 7 to see frenetic, action-packed short form improv. Then head over to Greyhouse Coffee Supply to see the Crazy Monkeys perform a free-flowing, sustained longform performance at 8. Finally, migrate over to the Purdue Memorial Union, where down in the commons area will be the University tWits, premier sketch comedy group from Indiana University at 9:30.

The Crazy Monkeys join up with their good friends Big Dog Eat Child for a comedy fast-blast! Last year, BDEC came down in December, and ended up in a big ice-related traffic jam. Also, Gen (who had grauated a year earlier) ended up having to do the show with the Monkeys. Anyway, hopefully there won't be a huge ice storm in April, so they'll be able to make it down in time. Comedy giants Shauvon, Tim, and Mike are saying goodbye to the Crazy Monkeys. Nobody knows where they're going (they certainly don't), but at least we can send them off in style.
